VEN AL FESTIVAL
The Western Sahara International Film Festival (FiSahara) brings film screenings, roundtables, workshops, music concerts, and many other cultural events to the refugee camps every year.
Filmmakers, artists, human rights defenders, journalists… from around the world visit the camps and engage with the Sahrawi population, helping to stimulate the local economy.
The Abidin Kaid Saleh Audiovisual School provides hands-on training to young Sahrawi refugees so they can tell their own stories and create educational and cultural films for their communities and for audiences around the world.

Nomads HRC ha diseñado y publicado un extenso catálogo de películas y vídeos sobre el Sahara Occidental que incluye, cuando es posible, datos de contacto. Ofrece herramientas de búsqueda y reúne cientos de producciones, convirtiéndolo en el catálogo más extenso de películas de temática saharaui. FiSahara is nothing short of a miracle. Not only does it bring film to the Sahrawi people; it also brings attention to their cause.
In a conflict, methods of expression such as this festival are needed to awaken people’s awareness.
The Sahrawi people are thirsty to tell their stories, and film is like water to them.
Films about Western Sahara serve to tell the story of Sahrawis, document their resilience and preserve their Identity. Those made by Sahrawis reflected ordinary refugees’ lives.
Film is a beacon of hope that illuminates our path, fueling the enduring flame of our resilience and amplifying the voices of those of us who strive for justice and liberation.
